Tobin Bridge Dunks

Im shure most citys have a bridge like this: old, rusty and iconic. Well for Boston its the Tobin Bridge.

If you follow my work you know i have an affinity for my hometown. I also have an affinity for old rusted structures. So with so much of the city constantly changing  i wanted to capture a piece of the old Boston before it sees another round of gentrification. So here they are.. the Tobin Bridge Dunks. Just the way I will always remember it..rusted and grimy. These will be on my site by the end of the week. So if they catch your eye check the website sab-1.com or follow me @sab_one

Weatherman LBJ 9

So what do ya get when you put LBJ and KD together ..the finals >?? naw the LBJ weathermans ..corny i know ...haha..i actually started these way before the Heat took my C's so it was just a coincidence that it played out like this

So im sure most people will disagree with me but in my honest opinion the KD 4 has had the most thought out and original colorways right now in the game. I mean who would of thought a Nerf collaboration would ever work with a sneaker. Now you cant touch them unless you wanna drop a stack or two.

The Weathermans are sick ..my hats off to the designer who thought to probe into KD's childhood aspiration's to come up with a theme, but i always felt that the theme really needed a high top top to fully show it off ..so here it is.

These particular ones are not for sale but i will replicate them so any and all inquiry's should be via email - d4lizzi@aol.com

Getting high on my own supply by SAB_ONE

never get high on your own supply ?

ya ill pass..i love biggie but he was wrong on that one ..in between filling customer orders and favors for friends i like to bust out a pair for myself every once and a while.

i know alot of people don't like the spizike because its not an actual numbered jordan ..but save that shit for the hypebeasts ..i love these things ..kings county..cool grey..stealth's ..you know the deal .. so i copped the mars blackmons sometime last year and i literally wore um once ..for some reason they looked better on the finish line wall then they did on my feet.

after icing them for a good year or so i decided i wanted to paint them ..but what to do ..being that i love the cement colorway ..and i was never happy with the white or black cement spizikes it was no brainier ..i do my own ..so i basically mirrored the retro cement 3 colorway that dropped on black Friday that I'm sure everyone is either familiar with or owns a pair or two.

as you cant already tell these aren't making my web store ..there for me.. and I'm fully aware of the fake comments and the hate from all these newly minted sneakerheads but for everyone else who enjoys my work... thanks for checking it out and if ya have a pair of spizikes ya want flipped let me know .. 7ave custom jordan one

old traditions die hard here in Boston .. so they say. Since my few decades living in the Boston area nothing has stayed the same. Expressways disappeared, gardens demolished, roads reworked and re-named. So to say that i am surprised that they are turing the ave into a walkway would be a stretch on my part.

The place I'm talking about goes by a few names depending on how old you are , we called it the ave or 7ave and before that they called it cats alley. If you wanna get technical its actually a part of Curtis st. The Ave is about 3 blocks of abandon freight line tracks that used to run the length of east Boston ending at the old docks at jefferies point.
Way before i even thought about writ ting ( or tagging ) we were down here checking out the pieces and idolizing the older kids that in our eyes ..were just straight killing shit. After running threw a handful of names and monikers. my cousin and the dictionary helped cement my name. The same name i use today.

I'm sure to the city this place is just an eyesore but to me this place is where it all started.i was a 2 min walk from my house almost a second home.If it wasn't for this place i wouldn't be doing the type of art I'm doing today. I always had a artist streak even before diving into graffiti. i was drawing superheros and my favorite sports stars, but this was more of a lifestyle than a hobby. we had crews, mapped out productions, met new artists , had an occasional beef, it was what we did and early on that's what defined us. In a perfect world they would leave a few walls alone and turn a blind eye to the occasional backpack carrying artists making there way down there, but i know its not going down like that. I'm no fortune teller but I would bet my left arm that police patrols, yuppie dog walkers and transplanted joggers lay in the future for this place.

So the trees have been cut, walls demolished, rail ties have been pulled, the tracks are up and the no trespassing signs are prevalent and in your face. theres no going back. I know with all the gentrification going on in eastie this place had a bulls eye on it for a while. With my every few months trips down there tossing up my little throwies and taking flicks I see less and less new stuff ..i guess the new gen see it different why go out and risk arrest when you can find a legal wall ..or do a large canvas and blast it around every social networking site and get 10x the exposure and none of the risk. that's all fine and good but i still get a rush from hopping fences and being in places where i know I'm not supposed to be, preferably with a bag full of paint.

So when one of my old painting partners girl hit me up to do a pair of kicks for him. I knew exactly what i wanted to do.. pay a homage to place where it all started . the concept was rotting and rusted walls covered in our old names and old styles almost like we threw up our stuff as 16 year old punks and no one ever went over it. The base was a jordan 1 from the colors pack ..with all the rust and faded aesthetic i had goin on i topped it off with a clean pair of supreme lace locks to give it a little pop.

The ave isn't dead yet i still have a few roller pieces up my sleeve and a little more documentation to do ..but the place i knew is gone and it aint coming back.. i kinda excepted it ..like they say good things never last

recreational insurgents am90

so lately ive been doing a lot of custom vinyl toys and sneakers not that im neglecting my custom sneakers just haven't been posting. I have a few sneakers on the back burner that ive have done some are customer orders some are personal projects. So i figured id share some of my recent works . These are my first pair of am90's i call them the recreational insurgents. The name comes from the colorway, the desert camo reminds me of desert storm/Iraqi freedom and the safety orange brings in visions of the weekend hunter . I always loved the hunter/Anderson colorway so i was bound to do something along those lines , im very partial to the desert camo as well so i wanted to marry the two , using a all black am90 base i panted the sole using a Lascaux studio paint with a added textile additive for extra flex , the main section of the shoe received a avocado green with the desert camo which seem to go like peanut butter and jelly I'm my eyes. the undefeated lace locks came as an after thought , they were originally all gold but the needed some color so they got the avocado treatment with a slight black stroke around the edges. these will be in my web store within the week so if there you style they will be for sale, This is my first pair of am90's but with such a aggressive look and feel this will not be my last .Thanks for swinging by and checking them out, ill have a new pair and a new post next week so look out sA_1
